International Yoga Day was celebrated by SRM Trichy College of Nursing on 21^st June 2023. Ms. Balasivapriya Physical Instructor demonstrated different yoga postures. All faculties and students actively participated and performed different types of Yoga eagerly. The theme of the day was ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, effectively encapsulating our collective aspiration for ‘One Earth, One Family, and One Future’. Poster Competition was conducted for the students.         The posters are very creative and informative.

World Blood Donor Day (14.06.2023)

SRM Trichy College of Nursing youth red cross society (YRC) organized the Blood donation Awareness Programme on 14.06.2023 between 11.00 and 12. 00 Pm at Echampatty village, Trichy. Our 2^nd Year B.Sc. Nursing Students were performed skit to create awareness regarding significance of blood donation. The participants were benefited and gained knowledge regarding blood donation. All participants cooperated well throughout the programme.

WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY (31.05.2023)SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized the World No Tobacco Day Awareness Programme on 31.05.2023 between 10.00 and 11. 00 am at Urban Primary Health Training Centre Samayapuram, Trichy. Dr.Shruthigave speech on ill effects of using tobacco and measures to avoid using tobacco. Our 4^thYear B.Sc. Nursing Students were performed skit to create awareness regarding passive smokers and presented posters. The participants were benefited and gained knowledge regarding no tobacco and its benefits. All participants cooperated well throughout the programme.

Trichy SRM Campus organized “Family Day 2023” on 27.05.2023. It was an enlightening, cherishing family gathering event for the staffs working in TrichySRM Campus. In this program, the staffs working more than 10 years were appreciated and given awards. SRM Trichy College of Nursing staffs were in the Registration and Performance organizing team for the successful conduction of family Day. Faculty from many institutions in Trichy SRM Campus performed cultural programs. Everyone enjoyed well.The day was end with delicious dinner.

SRM Trichy College of Nursing organised Seminar on writing proposals for funded projects on 26.05.2023.The Speaker of the day was Dr. Uppu Ramachandrayya, Research Director, SRM Group of Institutions, Ramapuram & Trichy campus.  He explained the process of writing a research, the importance of making the research more strong by collaborating with other investigators and the requirements to succeed in publishing on time and availability of the funding opportunities around the world.

SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized Faculty Development Programme on NAAC Sensitizing Programme on 23.05.2023 and 24.05.2023. The Inagural session was started with lighting the lamp at 9am. Dr. Suja Suresh Principal SRM TCON welcomed the gathering Dr. J. Nalini Principal SRIHER Dr. A. SeethslakshmiProfesdor SRIHER, Chennai discussed the Yopic on NAAC Criteria, Key indicators, Quantitative and Qualitative metrics and AQAR. All the sessions was very useful and informative. The discussion session were very helpful and clear the doubts.

TREE PLANTATIONFOR INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY

SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized Tree plantation program on 12.05.2023 at SRMTCON Campus, Trichy. Principal, Vice Principal, University Inspectors planted saplings on account of International Nurse Day celebration.

International day of the midwife was celebrated on the theme ‘TOGETHER AGAIN:FROM EVIDENCE TO REALITYby the Faculties andFinal year B.Sc Nursing students of SRM Trichy College of Nursing. They have taken a Midwife Oath to enhance the insight and awareness of the role of a midwife and the work they do, their care, concern and compassionate towards their profession.

Trichy SRM Group of Institutions organized project day on 27.04.2023 and 28.04.2023. Dr.B.K.Nashine, Director- Reactor Design & Technology Group Indra Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research Kalpakkam, Chief Guest of the Project day gave the motivational speech to students.  On behalf of SRM Trichy College of Nursing our students were participated enthusiastically and illustrated their project creatively. Around 1000 students visited and equipped their knowledge.

SRM Trichy College of Nursing organised Workshop on First Aid & Disaster management for two days(13.04.2023 & 15.04.2023). SRM Trichy College of Nursing, SRMBOT, SRMBPT-IST Trichy Campus and MAM College of Nursing around 470 students participated in the workshop. Campus Director Dr.Malmurugan, Deputy Director Dr Balaaubramaian, SRMCOT-IST Dean Dr. Suresh, Dr. Suja Suresh Principal, Devi K Vice Principal SRMTCON  were participated in the inaugural function. On 13.04.23 Mr Sheik Nazar, South Asian Disaster Response Team member IRCS, presented the topics on disaster management, Triage, Dead body Management etc. On 15.04.23 Mr Suresh Kumar and Mr Thulasi Durai Manikam discussed the topics on First aid Management, CPR. They also demonstrated mock drill. Students were participated in the mock drill very enthusiastically. The workshop was very effective. The certificates were distributed to all the participants. The programme ended with Valedictiona and feedback from delegates.
