SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized National conference on “TRENDS & CHALLENGES IN FUTURISTIC NURSING” on 27.10.2023 from 8.00 am – 6.00 pm. The program was started with registration, pre-test and inauguration. Eminent speakers from all over India took part and enriched the delegates on Role of artificial intelligence, Virtual reality, Evidence based practice, Globalization in Nursing, Empowering nurses through shared governance, Challenges in emerging & reemerging diseases, Forensic nursing and Quality of Nursing care in patient safety . At the end of the session, Post-test was conducted and the feedback was taken from all the participants. Around 500 participants participated in the conference. The conference came to an end with valedictory function.

World Arthritis Day (WAD) is a global awareness day aimed towards increasing knowledge of the existence and impact of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) among all audiences. SRM Trichy College of Nursing observed World Arthritis Day on 12.10.2023 @ 3.45-4.45 pm. This year theme is “Living with an RMD at all stages of life“. Symposium was organized by 2^nd year B.Sc. Nursing students. They discussed about disease condition, prevention and management of arthritis. All faculty and students benefitted from this symposium

SRM Trichy College Of Nursing organized  International day of older person on 16/10/2023 at  Manikapuram, Samayapuram based on theme “Fulfilling the Promises of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Older Persons”The program started at 10.30 am to 12 pm. B.S.C (N) III Year students gave health talk regarding physiological changes during older age and their care,menu plan for various conditions, and schemes for the welfare of senoir citizens. Around 20 senior citizens were participated and benifited.

SRM Trichy College Of Nursing organized Global Handwashing day on 16/10/2023 at  Government Primary School, Manikapuram, Samayapuram based on theme “Clean hands are within reach”  . The program started at 10.30 am to 12 pm. B.S.C (N) III Year students gave health talk on sustainable development, environmental protection and hygienic measures. Our students demonstrate hand washing techniques to the school children . Around 80 Children where participated.The school children were studious and cooperated throughout the program The program was highly influenced  the students .

SRM Trichy College Of Nursing organized International day for the preservation of the ozone layer on 26/9/23 at 10.30 am to 12 pm in Government primary school, E.vellanur, Trichy based on the theme “Montreal Protocol: fixing the ozone layer and reducing climate change”  III year B.SC(N) Students gave health talk on sustainable development , environment protection, including climate and the ozone layer protection , and told how this knowledge could be integrated in to the lessons for school children and community people. The official motto of the event was “ GLOBAL COOPERATION PROTECTIONG LIFE ON EARTH” the main goal of this program was to disseminate information on ozone layer protection, climate change and they can contribute to the preservation of the ozone layer and  climate mitigation by disseminating information on phasing out of ozone depleting substances and replacing high GWP F gases with natural refrigerants.the community people planted the sampling in the School area. Around 50 School children & 20 community people were participated.The students &community people were cooperated throughout the program.

SRM Trichy College Of Nursing organized Mass Health education programme on 5/10/2023 at E.Vellanur, Trichy from 10.30 am to 12 pm. B.S.C (N) III Year students gave health talk on balanced diet and delivered health education regarding causes, signs & symptoms, diagnostic evaluation, management, preventive measures, diabetic diet and DASH diet to the gathering. Nearly 20 people were participated in this program. The program was highly influenced  the community people. All people were cooperated throughout the program and benefited.

SRM Trichy College of Nursing Organized Mental Health Day Awareness Program on 10.10.2023 At 10.00 Am in SRM Hospital, Trichy. Our III Yr B.Sc. Nursing Students performed a Roleplay. Ms.Thamaraiselvi,M.Sc., Clinical psychologist, SRM Institute of science and technology, Trichy gave guest lecture on the theme “MENTAL HEALTH IS A   UNIVERSAL HUMAN RIGHT”. She explained about adolescence mental health and its importance. The seminar was very interesting and useful.

Inaugural Ceremony of 6^th batch of B.Sc. Nursing and 1^st batch of DGNM students (2023-24) was conducted on 29-09-2023 at SRM Auditorium in Trichy Campus. The programme commenced with invocation followed by welcome address by Dr.Suja Suresh, Principal, SRM Trichy College of Nursing. Dr. Shivakumar, Chairman, SRM Institutions, Chennai- Ramapuram & Trichy delivered the presidential address. He appreciated the role of nurses and their importance and he shared his own experience with the nursing professionals. Dr. Sethuraman, Chief Director, Dr. Malmurugan, Director, Dr. Balasubramanian, Deputy Director, SRM Institutions, Trichy and Dr. Revwathy, Dean, TSRMMCH& RC felicitated the gathering. They elaborated the dedication and qualities of nurses which make all the budding nurses feel pride in choosing the Nursing Profession as their life carrier. The Chief Guest Tmt.N.Kamini, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Trichy City shared the importance of humbleness, honesty, responsibility, boldness and loyalty for nurses. She appreciated the students for choosing the right profession to serve the society. The News Letter (Floral) was released by the Chairman and Chief Guest.  Mrs. Devi. K, Vice Principal, SRM Trichy College of Nursing delivered vote of thanks with much gratitude for each and everyone in this event. Around 500 students including parents were participated in the function. The formal inaugural function was concluded with National Anthem.

Gender Sensitization Programme was organized focusing on Legal Rights for Women and Girl Children. Advocate Mrs.T.Jayanthi Rani, B.Sc., B.L., was the  resource person, explained in detail about birth, development, protection and participation rights of girl child and women. She shared many examples which she encountered in her experience.  The session was very interactive and informative. Students were also actively participated and clarified their doubts.

SRM Trichy college of Nursing, SNA organized the Teachers Day celebration on 09.09.2023 with pomp & grandeur. The programme was held in Multi-Purpose hall, SRMTCON which was beautifully decorated with flowers and balloons. The students were performed various cultural events like dance, Poem & Songs. The principal appreciated the performance of the students. The entire programme ended on a happy note.
