The Youth Red Cross Committee of SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized Youth Red Cross Day on 16th February 2026 from 4.00 PM to 5.00 PM at the Multipurpose Hall, in collaboration with IQAC.
The programme aimed to promote humanitarian values, voluntary service, and social responsibility among nursing students. The event began with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a welcome address and a presentation on the principles of the Youth Red Cross — humanity, impartiality, neutrality, voluntary service, unity, and universality.
The Youth Red Cross Activities Report highlighted initiatives undertaken over the past two years, including blood donation camps, health awareness programmes, community outreach, environmental activities, and first aid training.
The Principal and Vice Principal motivated students to actively engage in service and uphold the noble ideals of the Red Cross. A thought-provoking mime performance by students emphasized social responsibility and humanitarian commitment.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem. The celebration successfully inspired students to strengthen their dedication to service and community welfare.
Youth Red Cross activities contribute to SDGs 3, 4, 10, 11, and 17.
