PONGAL CELEBRATION REPORT 2024

As part of the pongal celebration four batches of nursing students prepared Chakara Pongal and distributed to all the faculties and students .The  campus was festively decorated for Pongal, with colorful Rangoli and sugarcane adorning the grounds. The celebration began with a Prayer, followed by a message, which reminded the students about the importance of the harvest festival. Various cultural programs, that included songs, dances and skit, depicted the significance of the Harvest Festival. An account of Pongal celebration Rangoli and Hairdo competitions was conducted and the winners awarded with prizes.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Christmas celebration was held on 20th December 2023 in SRM Trichy College of Nursing. The crib was decorated beautifully. The silent prayer was offered for the people who are affected in Natural Calamity in Southern Tamilnadu. The event ended with cheerful Christmas greetings and cake cutting.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON NEW EDUCATIONAL POLICY 2023

A No of Participants :  76 SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized the Faculty Development Programme on New Educational Policy 2023 from 11.12.2023 to 17.12.2023 between 03.00 pm to 05.00 pm. This was a seven-day programme where eminent speakers discussed various related subtopics in detail and a very beneficial experience for the participants. It provided insight into New Educational policy goals, key skills, benefits, accreditation and quality of education, experiential learning and challenges in New Educational policy 2023. A feedback link was given to all participants and an e-certificate was provided.

SARASWATI PUJA REPORT

Saraswati puja was organized in SRM Trichy College of Nursing, on the occasion of Basant Panchmi. The festival Basant Panchmi shows the Indian culture and tradition from several years. We have been celebrating Saraswati puja on this day. On the 20th October, Puja started in the morning at 11 a.m. The whole College was decorated with flowers. The fragrance of flowers, the aroma of the burning camphor in lamps and the bright paper designs fluttering under the blue skies filled the college environment with peace and positivity. Basant Panchmi is a festival; on this festival we do Saraswati puja, to get the blessings from the goddess Saraswati. Everyone present at the event was stood up and started singing Saraswati vandana. After that everyone was distributed sweets. Director and Dean admin of the campus participated in the event.

FRESHERS DAY 2023

SRM Trichy College of Nursing SNA Unit organized Fresher’s Day for 6th batch of B.Sc (N) students and 1st batch of DGNM students on 07.12.2023.  Senior Students welcomed the new batch with so much of enthusiasm followed by cultural events performed by students. The Principal wished and blessed the Freshers and announced the batch name is “Emerald”.

CPR AWARENESS PROGRAMME

SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized CPR Awareness program along with NBEMS & INC on 06.12.2023 from 9.30 a.m. to 10.15 a.m. The experts explained the CPR, indications, importance and explained the sequence of CPR. After the class, the students were practiced CPR with CPR Simulator in the Lab. Around 332 participants including faculty members and students participated in the program. Students asked doubts and clarified by experts. It was an excellent and very effective program.

World AIDS Day

SRM Trichy College of Nursing Organized World AIDS Day Awareness programme on 01.12.2023 on theme “Let communities lead”. The program started at 10.30 am ended by 12 pm. B.Sc. (N) II year students performed skit and health education was given regarding AIDS, its prevention & management. Rally also conducted to create awareness among General Public. Nearly 100 people and 58 students participated in this programme at Punjai Sangenthi. All people were cooperated well throughout the programme & benefited. In the College, Mime Competitions were conducted for the students. They excelled in their performance. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

WORLD DIABETES DAY

As part of World Diabetes Day, SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized Poster Competition and “Panel Discussion on Empowering Global Health” on 14.11.2023. In the panel discussion the strategies & Empowerment of DM patients, Global health initiatives, challenges, preventive measures and Gestational diabetes facts and Dietary management topics were discussed. The session was very useful for all the participants. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

DIWALI CELEBRATION

Diwali is a festival of lights & symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. SRM Trichy college of nursing celebrated Diwali on 10.11.2023 at 2 – 3pm. Students participated in Rangoli & Greeting card making competitions, dances. All the participants showed their excellency in competitions and cultural. Prizes were distributed for all the winners and participants. At last everyone wished each other a happy Diwali and the program ended with National Anthem. Around 307 members participated in this celebration.

NATIONAL CANCER DAY AWARENESS PROGRAMME

SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized national cancer awareness programme on the basis of theme “Close the care gap”. The programme held at Rural primary health and training Centre, Punjai sangenthi, Trichy on 07/11/2023 from 10.30am to 12.00pm. Dr. Ravichandran, M.B.B.S, Medical officer delivered expert talk from his profound knowledge on the prevention and management of cancer. Our B.sc (N) III year students gave health talk regarding causes, signs and symptoms, prevention and management of cancer. Nearly 25people were participated this programme. People cooperated well throughout the programme and benefited.
