Trichy SRM Group of Institutions organized project day (INNVOFEST) on 27.04.2023 and 28.04.2023. Mr. Balakrishna Islavath, Dy. Director/ Scientist R&D Lab, Centre for Electromagnetics, SAMEER Chennai and Mr. P. Vimal Laxman, Joint Director, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Chennai, Chief guest of the Project Day motivated and appreciated the students. On behalf of SRM Trichy College of Nursing, our students participated enthusiastically and illustrated their projects creatively. Dr. Sanjeev Manasseh Padankatti, Professor & Head of the Occupational therapy, CMC&H, Vellore evaluated and appreciated their innovations.
SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized the National Deworming Day Awareness Programme on 12.01.2024 between 10.30 to 12.00 pm in Government Middle School, Vellanur, Trichy. The Programme was organized by 2nd year B.Sc. Nursing students. The Students Performed Skit and Puppet regarding Causes, prevention and management of worm Infestation. Ms.S.Varnika gave talk regarding worm infestation and its management around 130 Students and Teachers were actively participated and gain knowledge regarding worm Infestation and its Management. All participants cooperated well throughout the programme. Mr. Romeo Juliet Head master appreciated the students for organizing the programme.
From SRM Trichy College of Nursing, 2nd year B.Sc Nursing students and 2 faculty went Vethaa Milk Dairy at Musiri for observational field visit on 29.01.2024 as per curriculum requirement. In Vethaa Milk Dairy, Students were divided into 3 groups for orientation. They explained about process of Pasteurization, sources of receiving milk, methods of checking quality of milk and process of preparing milk products.
SRM Trichy College of Nursing commemorated Republic Day with great fervour, hosting a flag hoisting ceremony, cultural events, and thought-provoking speeches along with Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre. The tri-colour flag unfurled high symbolized the aspirations and ideals of a sovereign nation. The 2024 Republic Day celebrations reflected the resilience and progress of the nation, honouring the sacrifices of freedom fighters and envisioning a future of prosperity, harmony, and inclusive development for all. The day served as a reminder of India’s commitment to democratic ideals and its journey towards a brighter tomorrow.
Womens grievance and Internal Complaint Committee of SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized Guest lecture on account of National Girl child day on 24.01.2024 at 3pm. Social activists Mrs.Nallangal, MSW, M.Phil, Psychiatric counsellor and Mrs.Revathy MSW, M.Phil, Family counsellor created awareness about opportunities, rights of a girl child and addresses issues.
SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized CNE on World Leprosy DAY on 29.01.2023. Dr.Sathya M.B.B.S., Deputy Director of Health Services(Leprosy), Trichy has explained on the theme of “Beat Leprosy” which serves as a powerful reminder of the need to address the social and psychological aspects of leprosy, alongside the medical efforts to eliminate the disease. The lecture explored the medical intricacies of leprosy, stressing early diagnosis and dispelling prevalent myths. She also eloquently addressed the pervasive societal stigma and discrimination faced by affected individuals, advocating for a more inclusive community. Success stories in leprosy elimination were share, showcasing the global progress and inspiring hope.The audience actively participated in the lecture, engaging in a Q&A session with the Speaker.

The Lamp lighting Ceremony of VIBatch of B.Sc.(N) & I Batch of DGNM students of SRM Trichy College of Nursing was a poignant and symbolic event, marking the transition of nursing students into the professional realm on 31.01.2024. The ceremony presided over by honourable Chairman Dr.R.Shivakumar, SRM Group of Institutions (Ramapuram & Trichy Campuses) and delivered presidential address. Dr.Suja Suresh, Principal, SRM Trichy college of Nursing welcomed the gathering. Kuthuvilakku lit by the dignitaries followed by lighting the lamp. Prof.Dr.N.Sethuraman Chief Director, SRM group of Institution (Ramapuram & Trichy campuses) was delivered the Special address Dr.N.Malmurugan, Campus Director, Dr.N.Balasubramanian, Deputy Director, SRM Institutions, Trichy, Dr.S.Revwathy, Dean, TSRMMCH & RC, felicitated the gathering. In a solemn setting at SRM Trichy Auditorium, students clad in traditional nursing attire individually lit their lamps, symbolizing the passing of knowledge and responsibility. The Florence Nightingale Pledge was recited to reinforce the ethical principles central to the nursing profession. A distinguished Chief guest Dr.N.Venkatesh Prajna, Academic Director, Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai has imparted wisdom, inspiring the nursing students to embrace the challenges of their chosen profession. Musical performances and cultural elements added artistic flair to the ceremony. The warm glow of lit lamps symbolized hope, compassion, and a commitment to providing care. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof.Devi.K, Vice – Principal, SRM Trichy college of Nursing. The programme came to an end with National anthem.
SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized the National Girl Child Day Awareness Programme on 24.01.2024 between 10.30 to 12.00 pm in Urban Primary Health Training Centre, Samayapuram, Trichy. The Programme was organized by 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing students. The students performed Mime and Skit regarding girl child Rights and safety. Ms.Keerthana gave talk regarding girl child safety, Education, Protection, legal rights and girls health related schemes. Around 110 community people were actively participated and gain knowledge regarding girl’s rights and safety. All participants cooperated well throughout the programme. Dr.Sathiya Sridharan, Medical Officer appreciated the students for organizing the programme.
SRM Trichy College of Nursing organized an Awareness programme on Fire safety on 10.01.2024 between 03.00 – 05.00 pm for Teaching and Non-teaching faculty of SRMTCON and . The programme aimed at making the employees of the Institute mindful of fire hazards and the safety measures which can be taken during a fire emergency. Mr. Vijay Fire Safety Officer discussed several types of materials which cause fire and how that fire can be ceased. He and his team gave a demonstration of how fire extinguishers can be used to cease a fire. All participated very actively.
