Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India to improve solid waste management. Swachh Campus mission was held on 30.11.2022 in SRM Campus on behalf of SRM Trichy College of Nursing. Dr.SujaSuresh, Principal, SRMTCON, welcomed Dr.Malmurugan, Campus Director for Clean Campus mission. Campus Director distributed gloves and necessary articles to the students. All the faculty and students were enthusiastically involved in Clean Campus Mission. This mission makes the campus become litter free one.

From SRM Trichy College of Nursing, 2^nd year B.Sc Nursing students and 1 faculty went Vedham Milk Dairy in Musiri for observational field visit on 25.11.2022 as per curriculum requirement. In Vedham Milk Dairy, Students were divided into 3 groups for orientation. They explained about process of Pasteurization, sources of receiving milk, methods of checking quality of milk and process of preparing milk products.

A  Motivational speech on Time Management and prevention of needle stick injury for the BSc (N) 4^th batch and 5^th batch students was given by  Dr. N. Baladubramanian, Deputy Director, Trichy SRM Campus on 23. 11. 2022 in SRM Trichy College of Nursing.

Yuva Club Installation of SRM Group of Institutions Trichy was held at our campus Yesterday.Our Honourable Chairman Sir Presided.CII Trichy Vice Chairman Mr.Karthikeyan,MD Velmurugam Heavy Engineering Industries  was the Guest speaker for the day under the CEO Talks session.Trichy YI Chair Pradeep,Co Chair Ashok Ramanathan Trichy Yuva Chair Kishore ,Co Chair Santosh and CII Zonal Head Koushick Balaji Installed over 2300 students from 5 Institutions of our Group.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH – 2022

PINK OCTOBER 2022

SRM Trichy College of Nursing Observed World Breast Cancer Month (Pink October) on 29.10.2022. Nearly 120 Students and Faculties were involved. II Year student given the speech about this year theme “Together we Rise” “ Which ensure every women access to the screening she needs and the support she deserves” Motivated the students to do Breast self examination as well as to create awareness’ in Public.

 Inaugural function held on 27.10.2022 for B.Sc nursing 5^th batch students Program started with Tamil Thaivalzhu, followed  by Prof.Dr,Mrs. Suja Suresh Principal welcomed  the gathering. Program was presides by Dr. R. Shivakumar, Chairman SRM Group of institutions ( Ramapuram and Trichy Campuses), Prof. Dr. D, Nehru  Dean k.A.P  Viswanathan Govt. Medical  College , Trichy delivered The Chief guest address,  & he motivated the new comers with  energetic  words like Significance of Nurses  role in the hospital and encourage the students to progress well to face future challenges and scope, Prof. Dr. N. Sethuraman chief director SRM group of institution ( Ramapuram and Trichy campus). Dr. N. Balasubramanian Deputy director, SRM Trichy  Campus felicitate the gathering and the program came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by Prof.Mrs. Devi.k Vice Principal.

Diwali celebration was held on 22.10.2022. Competitions were planned and conducted on Hair do, Mehandi, Making Greeting card. Students are actively participated and won the prices. The price distribution was done by Dr. Suja Suresh, Principal, & Mrs.Devi.K, Vice Principal SRMTCON .

SRM TRICHY COLLEGE OF NURSING

MENTAL HEALTH DAY PROGRAMME ON 14.10.2022

           B.sc (Nursing )  III year student conducted world mental health day programme on 14.10.2022 in our college multipurpose hall at 3.00PM.The theme of the year 2022 is “MAKE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL- BEING FOR ALL A GLOBAL PRIORITY.” The programme started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Ms. Jeyasree III year student welcomed the gathering. Debate was conducted on the topic of “There is awareness among people about mental health nowadays-yes/no?” The III year students are actively discussed their ideas on both sides.                      

           At the end the Conclusion of the debate was 8/10 percent of people are not aware of mental health. It proves that It is our responsibility to create mental health awareness among the people.  Around 100 students attended the programme. The programme comes to end with the vote of thanks by Ms. Madhumitha.

On behalf of SRM Trichy College of Nursing, The world handwashing day awareness programme was conducted on 14.10.22 at manikapuam urban area by 2nd year B.sc nursing students between 10.30am to 12.00pm.The theme of the program of this year 2022 – “Health care quality and safety climate or culture”. Based on the theme students Performed song and dance regarding hand washing programme. All the participants were benefitted and gained knowledge regarding purpose and important of hand washing

Trichy SRM Group of Institution Organized 2^nd Edition of Trichy SRM Run World Heart Day-2022 on 08.10.2022 at 6.00am. Around 800 staff & Students were registered and participated in this event. Thiru.Sujithkumar, IPS, DSP Trichy(D.T) was the Chief Guest. For girls 5km, & boys 15km. Head of Institutions of SRM Trichy campus were joined in this event. Students and staff participated with full energetic and enthusiastic manner.

          SRM Trichy college of Nursing bagged maximum number of prizes in the event. The winners won trophies, Medals and Cash Prize.
