Dr.Sathya M.B.B.S., Deputy Director of Health Services(Leprosy), Trichy has explained on the theme of “Beat Leprosy” which serves as a powerful reminder of the need to address the social and psychological aspects of leprosy, alongside the medical efforts to eliminate the disease. The lecture explored the medical intricacies of leprosy, stressing early diagnosis and dispelling prevalent myths. She also eloquently addressed the pervasive societal stigma and discrimination faced by affected individuals, advocating for a more inclusive community.
