World Population Day is observed annually on July 11th to raise awareness about global population issues, including the challenges posed by population growth and strategies to address them. It aims to highlight the importance of population issues in the context of sustainable development and to encourage actions and policies that can lead to a better balance between population and available resources. On this day, SRM Trichy college of nursing organized campaigns to educate people about the impact of overpopulation on the environment, health, and socio-economic development. B.Sc( N) IV year students performed skit and delivered health talk  emphasized on family planning, reproductive health services, gender equality, poverty alleviation, and education. It encourages people to consider how individual choices and collective actions can contribute to a balanced and prosperous world for present and future generations.
